How to create a new message and send

Create a New Message

Watch Tutorial Video

1.      In the far right menu column, click the “send a message” link

2.   Fill in the subject line as seen by your recipients

3.   adjust the “from line” if you want    

4.   Type your content

5.   Style your content

6.   SAVE CHANGES

7.   Send a test email to yourself

8.   Click the “lists” tab

9.   Select the list(s) for distribution and click “Send Message to
 Selected Mailing Lists” button

10.  Process the Queue

 

Optional Steps for Send a New Message

The option tabs make it easy to set more advanced features like Email Format, Scheduling, and Criteria.  For help with those features please see your account manager.

 

Recommended Procedures

1.      Send as Text Only if at all possible

2.      Avoid too many images or links to get through spam blockers better

3.      If you use a word processor like Word, “Paste as Plain Text” and then style your text or create hyperlinks within Infoblaster

4.      Check your “Message Queue several hours or the next day after sending a message to make sure that it processed entirely

5.      DO NOT try to send a message that has already been sent.  You can copy and paste into a new message with a new subject line.

 

IMPORTANT TO KNOW

Infoblaster tries to keep your subscribers informed

You may want to SUSPEND A MESSAGE after it has been successfully sent.  Here is why.

Let's say today you have 100 subscribers and you send them all Message #1.  Next month, you may have 132 subscribers because some new people have signed up.  When you send out MESSAGE #2, the system will automatically send out Message#1 to the 32 people who did not get it the first time.

If your content is time sensitive... Make Sure to either SUSPEND or delete your messages.

 

Copy Content from Microsoft Word or other Text Editor

Creating your original content with a word processor like word can be beneficial especially if you are going to send messages often.  Follow these tips to avoid any unnecessary headaches.

1.      Create your document in Word

2.      Highlight and “Copy” your Content

3.      Within the “content tab” of your Infoblaster “Send A Message” screen you will select the “Paste from Word Document” Icon

4.      Answer the help tips and press ok

5.      You are now ready to send as normal

6.      Remember to SAVE CHANGES
